IPSC World Shoot XVII – Opening Ceremonies and Parade of Nations Schedule:
Oct. 12, 2014
3 – 5 p.m. – Parade staging at the Lakeland Center
5 p.m. – Parade of Nations begins
The Parade of Nations featuring the competitors, IPSC officials, high School marching bands and classic automobiles will travel down Lemon Street to South Tennessee Avenue and turn left onto South Tennessee Avenue. The parade will proceed down South Tennessee Avenue and turn right onto Main Street. Parade will continue down the Frances Langford Promenade to the amphitheater where the Opening Ceremony will be held.
6:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremony begins
Opening Ceremony will feature speeches by local dignitaries, an aerial demonstration, a water ski show performed by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team and musical performances by the Harrison School of the Arts Jazz Band. IPSC President Nick Alexakos will declare the World Shoot competition officially “open” and the ceremony will conclude with an on-the-water fireworks show.
